Yes, but I heard your motor running very badly prior to the "catastrophic engine failure". I even heard from Chris that this situation had been going on for a while.  I think your case falls into the same category as Rocky LaRock's failure to acknowledge his low oil warning alarm for several weeks then frying his engine, qualifying him for the 2008 Le Ding Award.  Steve, you know I'll debate diligently on your behalf.  I think you are worthy and besides we don't have many reports of other worthy candidates for Le Ding this year.

 

I suppose that since you can't be at the party we would allow you to submit by email an argument as to why you are not worthy and we can read it into the award's minutes, but don't count on much sympathy.

 

Maybe some of our other Butler Island voters will want to address by email your situation prior to the Labor Day vote.

  Unfortunately we will be on our way back from NJ after leaving Chris off at school, so won't make the annual party which we always enjoy. Maybe tomorrow's threatened 4 footers will generate some nominations!

Fun Seekers,   It is that sad time of year when many of us start to say good by to the Island for another year.  Well, that means it is time to pass out the Le Ding, Bad Day and Save The Day awards. We need your nominations.  If you can't attend please send us an email and we'll put your story into the nomination pool.  Check out the attachment for details on the awards.  Usually a friend and/or neighbor is the one that puts a name into nomination because the actual recipient is to modest to nominate them self.  But well take the story any way it comes out.   Party time is Sunday, September 6th at 11 AM at the Bray's camp.  (north west side).  Bring a dish to share.   We will also be conducting a Butler Island raffle to raise money for a charity to be determined.  In past years we have raised over a $1,000.00 for various charities.  We can accept cash and checks.  We'll even accept your left over pet food to give to the Humane Society.  We'll deliver.   Hope to see you there.   Best Regards, David, Liza and Ashley Bray
