Butler Island Labor Day Party Where: Liza & David Bray?s Family Cottage, North West Side of Butler Island. The 2005 Champion is Nolan Cain for leaving parts
of his out-drive on a rock after the 4th of July fireworks. I?ve had a ?Bad Day? Award given to the Butler Island resident who does the dumbest thing (that we hear about) on the Island. The 2005 Bad Day award is being held by Diane
Charland for hiring an ?I?ll finish it next week? contractor to build her camp. We are looking for 2006 nominations and so far Diane Charland (possible repeat), Gail Utley, Rob Cross, Paul Comey and Barry Hickok?s names have been mentioned. We know there are more. Corliss Blakely Art Raffle: Corliss has offered an original Corliss Blakely Painting, $1,800 value, to the winner of the art raffle; and a Corliss Blakely Print for each $25 ticket sold. 100% of the proceeds will go towards hiring an English Teacher @ $125/mth (target is a full school year) at the Ometepe
