Hi -
This morning I stumbled across some information on tick control. The
first is a research study being done on tick control via robot at
Virginia Military Institute. No, I'm not kidding. It involves an RC
car that follows a specified track dragging a carpet with insecticide
that attracts ticks. While it isn't commercially available yet, it's
quite interesting:

The next is the "Maxforce Tick
Management System". This is the pesticide that is put out in the
form of mice/chipmunk feeders which has been mentioned here before. I
have no idea what it costs (I think someone may have gotten an estimate
last year), but there is only one company listed in Vermont as a
"certified applicator": Waltham
Services.
Anyway, just a couple of websites that may be worth a look.
Regards,
Steve
P.S. If there really is no ice, maybe we'll see some of you out there
in late March or early April?
