Hi, Mary,
The North Hero Selectboard meeting on 6/6 will be held at the North
Hero Elementary School at 6:30 PM. The school is located north of the
village on the west side of U.S. Rte. 2. The Selectboard is looking for
information regarding deer tick management. You will be first on the
agenda with 15-20 minutes allocated to the topic. I believe what is
most important is to hear what risks we face, what the state discovered
on Butler Island, and what resources are available to help our
community deal with this growing problem (contacts, reading material,
analytical services). As you know, North Hero relies heavily on the
summer tourist trade, so it is important not only to protect our
citizens, but to protect our summer neighbors and our economy, as well.
